I know it sounds stupid, but hearing that honestly made me really sad. I actually knew that Rhino my whole life. I grew up here in Denver along with everything else here, including that Rhino named George. George was such a huge aspect of my childhood. I would always make sure to see him every time I went to the zoo. I can’t even count how many times I gazed at that Rhino, and reached over to pet it’s head. With a horn so giant and fearsome, it was such a kind and gentle creature. From every moment that I spent with him, from seeing him as a toddler being pushed on a stroller, to all the field trips, to the bunk with the beasts sleepover, to Bridges to Work, and every other time I went to the zoo; I will never forget him.
R.I.P. - George the Rhino.
